Vision Church San Deigo, along with the other churches across Southern California, was invited by the Padres to join its postgame concert, Faith and Family Night, on Saturday, July 30.

The church’s Facebook page posted that after the game between the Padres and the Twins, the congregation joined in the Gallagher Square for a question and answer portion from the players.

They noted that the players also shared their testimonies.

The post also stated that members from different churches all over Southern California had the chance to listen to a concert by a national recording artist, Phil Wickman.

They said he is also a contemporary Believer musician from San Diego.

Inspiring Individuals

According to the church’s website, Vision Church motivates people of various ages and backgrounds to let God enter their lives in every situation they would have.

At Vision Church, they desire God to be a part of every circumstance of its members, such as in times of joy and sorrow.

Besides, the same website noted that Vision Church San Diego members are passionate about following Jesus’ teachings.

They added that they exist to proclaim the Gospel to others patiently and kindly.

Vision Church San Diego primarily believed that the church is about discovering “love and beauty” through God and His deeds.

More importantly, the website revealed that people have their reasons why they join a church.

Some could feel lost and wants to find out their real purpose. Others find a way to reach out to their family and cultural identity, as further explained on its website.

Regardless of their reasons, the website noted that becoming a part of a church could significantly impact many individuals.

Padres Beat Twins

The ESPN website reported on Aug. 1, Monday, that the Padres won over Minnesota Twins.

According to the website,  Jurickson Profar, one of the Padres’ key players, struck the ball successfully for the second straight game. Then he catches the ball in the go-ahead rally in the sixth inning, the news further stated.

As further explained, when Profar was asked if Padres use some combination of good players, he stated with a laugh that he just plays baseball.

“I pay a little attention, but at the end of the day, I come here ready to help this team win,” Profar mentioned in an interview.

The ESPN website also revealed that the Padres won a series versus a division leader twice since the All-Star break.

They said the team won two of three at New York Mets. Then they lose two of three at Detroit, as further reported.

Profar stated that they had a good game against the Mets. He added that despite their loss to Detroit, they played against a good team.

Meanwhile, Padres' first baseman Eric Hosmer mentioned that their win over the Twins is a good series win for them.

Hosmer said, “It’s a good team over there.” He added that winning at this point is part of the team’s goal.

Hosmer emphasized that winning is what they want to be. He added that their team knew that game would be “a big one.”
