Atlanta Dream Center Church hosted Align, a midnight prayer, on Friday, Feb. 24.
The church’s Facebook page announced that it was an opportunity for believers to pray and worship together.
Pastor Tommy Palmer, the church’s Senior Pastor, personally invited everyone to seek the Lord, as posted on the page.
Moreover, the pastor noted that it was the last Friday of the month, and they had been praying and fasting.
Thanksgiving, Humility
In the same post, Palmer shared what they have been praying for the church and its ministry. He suggested members pray for thanksgiving, for God has been good to them. He noted that they should give thanks to Him throughout the day.
Besides, he noted that God has been so good in their lives and opportunities, so God deserves to be appreciated. Also, he added that they should thank Him for the “small” things like their health and capability to rise from their bed.
Meanwhile, the lead pastor mentioned that the congregation should pray for alignment with God. Palmer stated that they could ask God if there is any part of them that He dislikes and ask Him how to change them.
In addition, Atlanta Dream Center Church could ask God to keep them humble. Palmer reminded them about their topic last Wednesday night, which is part of the reason for fasting.
According to him, humility is vital for them to align with God. He highlighted that Scripture that God gives grace to the humble. The post noted that Palmer seeks help in humility because they want to receive God’s grace.
Praying for Church’s Body, Leadership
In the same post, Palmer asked the congregation to pray for the church, wherein he refers to its people. He noted that they wanted to intercede for their brothers and sisters as some of them were dealing with hard times.
Others might be enjoying their successes, as the pastor stated. Palmer pointed out that they want to mourn and rejoice with those sad and happy in the church.
In addition, the lead pastor asked members to pray for their leaders. They asked them to pray that the Holy Spirit would lead those they trust and follow. Besides, he asked the congregations to pray for purity in their hearts as they obeyed God’s calling.
Church's Vision
Palmer highlighted on its Facebook post that people without vision would cast off restraint. He emphasized that the church wants to witness the Lord taking them, and they want them to be correct in their steps as a church.
As further mentioned, he asked members to pray for the vision of the Atlanta Dream Center Church so that they know where the Lord wants to lead them.
In addition, he noted that they pray for the people in the world to call upon the name of the Lord and experience redemption. Palmer asked members to pray for the workers to go out and for individuals would come to discover God and make Him their Lord, as mentioned in the post.
Fasting, Prayer
According to the church’s website, Atlanta Dream Center Church holds fasting and prayer on the last Friday of every month. They explained that their staff put away all their work and took the day to pray and fast.
The church understands those who need to go to their work. But, they encouraged other members to take this day and skip at least one meal so they could pray with them.
Besides, they stated that members could join as they pray for God’s direction to the church and hear His voice.
