Northside Drive Baptist Church runs the Holy Happy Hour at Round Tripb Brewing every Wednesday throughout the year.

The church’s website noted that the gathering would be an excellent opportunity to have fun with the community and have “holy” discussions. They added that there would be cold beverages, and members could bring their dinner.

Worship Service

In another section, North Drive Baptist Church explained that Sunday worship has a formal approach and follows traditions of the Christian liturgical year. They added that the church follows Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost traditions.

Besides, the church mentioned that they celebrate special days like Reformation Sunday, All Saints Day, and the Festival of Thanksgiving.

At North Drive Baptist Church, everyone is welcome with a friendly greeting. They said they are reminded that worship is a community experience through quick discussions, hugs, and laughter.

Moreover, the website highlights their semicircular sanctuary surrounded by incredible stained glass windows. They noted that these windows show the familiar biblical stories, historical happenings of the Christian faith, and social programs that impact them.

According to the website, worship is a moment that pulls people from much devastation, but they are never isolated.

Music, Scripture

Northside Drive Baptist Churchemphasized that music plays a vital role in their worship service. At Northside Drive Baptist Church, they sing together through the sounds of the beautiful pipe organ and hymns.

They have various choices of anthems from the sanctuary choir and the fidgety voice of the kid’s choir. The church stressed that worship needs participation from the congregation.

In addition, the church explained that they read the Scripture from the Common Lectionary. They noted that this method allows the church to connect with thousands of other churches that read those same passages each Sunday.

Alliance of Baptist's Members

Northside Drive Baptist Church is a member of the Alliance of Baptists.

According to the Alliance of Baptists website, their three primary values are that they are a theological home, the pursuit of God’s justice, and partnership in mission. They revealed that the alliance started in 1987 as a prophetic voice in the life of Baptists.

In addition, they mentioned that they are composed of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and religious principles. They said that they are a community of people with various ministry practices.

They posted that they have nearly 4,500 members and 140 congregations united by love for each other and God. They pointed out that they are joined together by progressive inquiry, prayer, and prophetic measures to bring justice and healing in a transforming world.

Covenant, Mission

The same website revealed the Alliance of Baptists covenant and mission, which they adopted on April 10, 2021. According to them, they are individuals of faith joined together by a long tradition of dissent and historic Baptist liberty.

To celebrate their heritage, the alliance aims to nurture beloved communities and claim their identity within the body of Jesus and their solidarity with all creation, as the website explains.

More importantly, the alliance embraces and accepts all individuals with full respect to gender, sexual, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. They said they give room for all people with varying abilities, social standing, or economic status.
