The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia has warned the public against false emails asking to buy gift cards.

The church issued the warning in a Facebook post on Thursday, April 21 after it received several reports from church members receiving an email from Pastor Betsy asking to buy gift cards.

According to the church’s post, these emails were scams and not true.

The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church advised the public not to reply to these emails or messages.

Those who have concerns may contact a member of the pastoral staff, according to the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.

Earth Day Weekend

On Sunday, April 24, the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church will host an Earth Day Weekend.

The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church planned an Earth Day Worship on the lawn on Sunday, April 24 at 11 p.m. in a Facebook post.

According to the church, all are welcome to join the lawn for worship on Earth Day weekend as the church expresses gratitude for God's amazing creation and resolves to protect it.

As everyone comes together in song, prayer, scripture, and action, the church says to unite in music, prayer, scripture, and action.

Feel free to wear blue, the color of clear, clean water, or green, the color of forests, farms, and other natural surroundings, according to the church.

Pastor Elizabeth (eacton@dhpc.org) is available to answer any inquiries from interested attendees, the church advised.

Station of the Cross

The Druid Hills Presbyterian Church conducted an urban Good Friday Station of the Cross on Friday, April 15.

According to a Facebook post by the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church, the Mercy Church invites the Druid Hills community to an urban Good Friday Stations of the Cross.

The church said participants read the passion account and go on a group walk around the streets, connecting scenes from Jesus' passion to the suffering of our homeless sisters and brothers.

A picnic lunch was served at 11 a.m., followed by a walk at 12 p.m., according to the Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.
