The Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, held its annual Advent festival.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Nov. 26, the church encouraged everyone to join the festival that was scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 27, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

According to the church’s post, they adored the tradition of making cookie decorations, ornaments, and advent wreaths together. 

The church said for coffee and breakfast snacks, they may join in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 9:45.

Morningside Presbyterian Church’s Mission

When the pastors remarked, "We welcome everyone without reservation," the church claimed they are speaking on behalf of all of its members.

The church's website said small children are taught Bible stories and their voices are lifted in song every Sunday at Morningside Presbyterian Church.

Morningside Presbyterian Church claimed that a complete Bible study is available that examines the mind and the emotions.

According to their faith, they will observe a group of individuals who help one another and collaborate to help those in need.

They gather together as Morningside Presbyterian Church members to joyfully answer God's call in a changing world via study, prayer, and the sharing of the good news of Jesus Christ as well as through the responsible management of God's resources.

According to the church's website, the Morningside Presbyterian Church is a thriving congregation with deep roots in the Reformed or Presbyterian tradition. The church extended a warm invitation to all of God's children in addition to actively participating in the community and beyond.

Church’s History

In November 1925, the Morningside Presbyterian Church was established as a mission by the Atlanta First Presbyterian Church and the Atlanta Presbytery Home Mission Committee.

The church claimed that the building was created by well-known Philadelphia church architects Thomas and Waggoner and completed in 1949. The church claims that in 1955 a spire was constructed.

It also exhorted everyone to come and sing both traditional and modern hymns.

According to a release from Morningside Presbyterian Church, Bringle, who wrote the hymnal Glory to God, will take part in a Hymn Festival.

The church insisted that stunning mansions surround it and that it is located in the middle of a setting that looks like a park.

According to the church's post, Dr. Mary Louise "Mel" Bringle, chair of the Glory to God hymnal committee, was invited on Sept. 10 and 11, Saturday and Sunday, to help the congregation sing their faith.

It also exhorted participants to sing both traditional and modern music.
