Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia held “Morningside Mingle” for food and fellowship.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Sept. 16, the church said they hosted the gathering on Sunday, Sept. 24. It was held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Leafmore Creek Clubhouse.

Morningside Presbyterian Church said this was a wonderful opportunity for food, fun, and fellowship for the church members and other participants.

The church said childcare was also provided for those who needed it.

Bible Stories, Voices Lifted During Worship Service

Every Sunday at Morningside Presbyterian Church, young children are taught Bible tales and their voices are lifted in song, according to the church's website.

Morningside Presbyterian Church said a complete bible study that tests the head and the heart can be found.

The religion claims that they will witness a group of people who support one another and work together to aid those who are in need.

They congregate as members of Morningside Presbyterian Church to cheerfully respond to God's call in a shifting world via prayer, study, and the preaching of the good news of Jesus Christ, as well as responsible stewardship of God's resources.

Morningside Presbyterian Church is a thriving congregation with strong roots in the Reformed or Presbyterian tradition, according to the church's website. The church extends a cordial invitation to all of God's children and is actively involved in the community and beyond.

According to Morningside Presbyterian Church, in order to facilitate people's journey in worship, service, growth, and community, its vision for ministry encompasses passion, action, and variety.

The church asserted that everyone is being represented when the pastors make the proclamation, "We welcome everyone without reservation.”

The church said that qualities like this embracing compassion, perceptive and inspiring preaching, a top-notch music program, and a special focus on children's education and activities are what have made Morningside Presbyterian Church a successful and expanding congregation.

Founded as Mission

First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta and the Atlanta Presbytery Home Mission Committee founded Morningside Presbyterian Church as a mission in November 1925.

According to the church, its structure was created by renowned Philadelphia church architects Thomas and Waggoner and was finished in 1949. In 1955, a spire was added, the church stated.

The church said it is situated in the middle of a park-like setting and is bordered by beautiful residences.

Meanwhile, the church also recently conducted a hymn workshop.

The chair of the Glory to God hymnal committee, Dr. Mary Louise "Mel" Bringle, will be present to help the churchgoers sing their faith on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11, according to the church's post.

Additionally, it urged everyone to attend and sing both traditional hymns and brand-new ones.

In the meantime, Morningside Presbyterian Church announced that Bringle, the creator of the Glory to God hymnal, will participate in a Hymn Festival.
