The Neighborhood Church in Atlanta, Georgia is set to hold in-person and online worship services for Easter.

In a Facebook post on Monday, March 28, the Neighborhood Church announced that it will have in-person and online worship services for Easter on Sunday, April 17.

According to the post, Easter is coming up in less than a month.

The church said it was excited to be able to offer both in-person and online worship experiences to help the public celebrate this holy and joyful day.

The Neighborhood Church announced that service will begin at 11 a.m. on Easter morning on April 17, Sunday with a live stream available on Facebook, YouTube, and its website.

The church said everyone is welcome to bring a friend or neighbor in celebrating the resurrection, life, and the hope to discover in connection with one another and with God.

International Transgender Day of Visibility Celebration

The International Transgender Day of Visibility was observed at the Neighborhood Church to promote awareness of the transgender community's accomplishments.

The Neighborhood Church noted the International Transgender Day of Visibility in a Facebook post on Thursday, March 31.

The mentioned occasion is a day dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender-nonconforming people while also raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to attain trans justice (glsen.org).

On Trans Day of Visibility, the church recognized one of its own who had been invited to join them on their journey of discovery, according to the church's website.

This past Sunday, Pastor Andy Woodworth stated in service that he is a non-binary trans femme.

According to the church, Andy is a skillful and well-liked community leader who uses they or them pronouns, makes extremely punny jokes, and uses they or them pronouns.

Andy, the congregation thanked God for who he made them be.

According to the church, those who are willing to welcome people into their tale like chatting.

Church’s NeighborFEST

On Sunday, March 27, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Neighborhood Church is hosting a NeighborFEST. According to the church's Facebook post, the service will last until 3 p.m.

According to the church's post, friends and neighbors interested in connecting at the intersections of community, faith, and justice were welcomed to a new quarterly event.

The church said attendees included Speakcheesy Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Citizen Advocacy of Atlanta and DeKalb, One Home Collective, Murphy-Harpst, Tees for Justice, and others.

Visitors ate grilled cheese, socialized with neighbors, met with justice organizations in the Atlanta region to participate in practical opportunities to fight for change, played games, and listened to live music, according to the church.
