North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church said it is set to host creative models for a community webinar series.

On a Facebook post on Friday, Aug. 12, the church said the webinar series will take seven sessions every Tuesday, starting from Sept. 6 to Oct. 18.

According to the church’s post, this is a time of opportunities for development, creativity, increasing discipleship, and improving how people interact with the community.

The church said the seven-part webinar series would walk everyone through seven different community engagement models to give an idea of what would work best in their situation and the resources they need to get started to achieve the community engagement objectives of their congregation.

Each weekly session will last an hour and give attendees and the panelists a chance to ask questions, give feedback, and share ideas.

Seven Creative Models for Community Ministry

Recent difficulties have altered the church and the community during the previous two years, according to the church's website

The church said even though obstacles are challenging. They also present chances for development, innovation, increasing discipleship, and improving how they interact with the community.

The North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church said that most congregations started looking at online worship and began researching online discipleship, using technology to give unique opportunities to engage with their current members and new neighbors.

It added that a similar thing started with community involvement as church leaders looked for creative ways to engage with the locals.

When they could no longer physically gather, churches found innovative ways to address community issues, whether through online interactions or other means, according to the church.

The church said they still have the chance to take advantage of a season of growth, strength, and innovation toward community participation as they move past the first difficulty of COVID-19.

This seven-part webinar series will walk everyone through seven different models to give an idea of what would work best in their situation and the tools needed to get started so that they can achieve the community involvement objectives of their congregation, according to the church.

The church said each weekly session would last an hour and give attendees and the panelists a chance to ask questions, give feedback, and share ideas. For those who cannot attend, these seminars will also be recorded.
