The Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church is set to host an All Saints Day memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 7.

According to its website, the Presbyterian church will host an All Saints Day memorial service on Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m. in the Memorial Garden to remember and honor those who have passed away this year.

The memorial service will also be live-streamed on the church's Facebook page, according to its website.

The church said the deacons would prepare garden rocks with the names of the loved ones, as they have continuously conducted in the previous years.

During the reception, the garden pebbles will be available, it added.

Those interested should contact the church's deacon or email office@opcbrookhaven.org with names of those they would like to memorialize during the service. They could also visit the church's website for more details of the event.

COVID-19 Protocols

According to the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church's coronavirus disease (COVID-19) rules, everyone attending Sunday worship will be required to wear facemasks, regardless of vaccination status.

While the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church believes in the COVID-19 vaccine, it does not want to take any chances or hazards, especially since the vaccine is not available to the church's youngest members.

Meanwhile, the church stated that if the speakers in the chapel were more than six feet from the next row of worshippers, they would remove their masks while speaking.

According to the Presbyterian church, any meeting in the chapel that exceeds 50 people and compromises social distancing will be moved to the sanctuary.

Worship Service

According to the church, those who attend the worship service at the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church will experience deep hospitality, possibilities for growth, a call to serve, and a sense of belonging.

The church announced that its Sunday worship would be webcast live on Facebook at facebook.com/opcbrookhaven at 11 a.m.

The public is also welcome to attend the church, the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church said.

According to the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church, social spacing must be maintained at all times, with people standing at least six feet apart and avoiding physical touch.

Meanwhile, the church recommended the people use the equipment provided by the church to sterilize any surfaces touched, including indoor bathrooms, before leaving.

The staff of the Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church will be encouraged to work from home in the future. They will, however, be allowed to return to the office as needed, according to the church.
