Peachtree Christian Church to join the Regional

Peachtree Christian Church will participate in the Regional Youth Assembly 2023 of the Christian Church denomination from Friday to Sunday, Feb. 24 to 26, at Epworth by the Sea.

The church’s website announced that this year’s theme will be “Breakthrough.”

Regional Youth Assembly 2023

According to the Information Packet of the event, the Regional Youth Assembly would be an opportunity of having fellowship and worship for the Disciples of Christ (DOC) youth of Georgia.

Besides, they announced that they would have interest groups for high school students this year. They added that adult members of the region would be leading these groups.

As further explained, the high school participants would have the time to discover their faith in various ways that would be interesting for them. They noted that these groups should include sharing at a Christian Church program.

They stated that they are not strictly mandated to have a theological approach while meeting with the interest groups. The website said they could have a successful interest group while playing a sport or game.

Moreover, participants could also enjoy discussing Bible, social justice, mission work, etc. The website posted that they are open for those with unique skills and believe they could lead an interest group.

Adult Sponsors

On the same website, they emphasized the regional policy that all adult sponsors must have a transparent background check accomplished in the last two years. They added that they would confirm with them if they were complete.

More importantly, they announced that the adult sponsors would have two options during the breakout for this year’s assembly.

The website informed adult sponsors that they could attend high school keynote and assist in the interest groups or help with the middle school activities.

Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

The Christian Church, Disciples of Christ website noted that they are part of a denomination that works hard to empower and help the Disciple's congregations within their region, Christian churches in Georgia.

They stated that they advocate for wholeness in a corrupted world. They added that they welcome everyone to the Lord’s Table as God embraced them.
