Peachtree Church in Atlanta, Georgia, will conduct its ninth annual "Seeds of Hope" packing event from Friday to Sunday, Jan. 27 to 29. The church said everyone is invited to help Malawi and Liberia's communities to have food security.

They said Seeds of Hope would be a great, high-energy, fun-filled community project. The event has opportunities for seated, standing, and moving roles.

According to Peachtree Church's announcement page, interested people may register online through their provided link.

Over 100,000 gardens' worth of seeds will be packed by participants for the church's partners in Malawi and Liberia. It can cover more than 1 million pounds of food in their first harvest, the church events page said.

According to the church, one growing season in a single garden can take a family from food scarcity to sustainability.

The seeds enable the organization's partners to maintain a healthy diet and sell any excess to pay for their children's education. Additionally, the seeds from the produce ensure continuous food security for upcoming growing seasons, the site revealed.

The church added everyone at least five years old should participate because it is a family activity. Families are welcome to invite friends outside their church to serve with them.

It reminded prospective participants register separately because the church fills shifts person by person, the page bared.

A seed stands for the future, and when planted and thrives, it gives people hope and contributes to expanding God's kingdom, the events section reads.

Other Ways to Serve

Peachtree Church continues to contribute significantly to the neighborhood and the rest of the world. Sponsoring kids in India and Malawi, providing much-needed food to nearby families, or offering online instruction are ways to contribute. Please think about taking part in any or all of the upcoming possibilities, the serve section said.

Student Sponsorship

People can accompany a student on their educational path by sponsoring a student. Changing a student's life through sponsorship also involves improving the lives of their family, community, and the wider world, per the website.

India

The church said children aged seven to 14 in India are entitled to free public education, but they are still responsible for covering the costs of all school-related expenses, including uniforms, meals, and supplies. Often, families cannot afford these charges because they might be extremely high, the page bared.

Numerous students from India have received sponsorships for the 2021–2022 academic year because of the generosity of the Peachtree Church community, the site reads.

Malawi

The government of Malawi offers free instruction through primary school. A child must cover the costs of attending high school or continuing their education independently. A family's annual income in the Chitipa district is $367, while a year of high school costs $250, per the page.

Atlanta

The Bill Maness Good Samaritan Scholarship honors and inspires high school students in Atlanta to overcome their financial and personal obstacles to assist those in need, the site revealed.

Each year, the scholarship is given to a graduating senior who has been accepted to college, has demonstrated academic excellence, a strong desire to begin and complete college, and is willing to accept a Mentor who will walk alongside, support, and mentor their "scholar" throughout the entire four-year program, the page bared.
