In Atlanta, Georgia, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church has celebrated the first day of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) History Month on Saturday, Oct. 2.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church expressed a heartfelt message for the LGBTQ+ community members on its first day of history month celebration.
According to the church, this month is a chance to celebrate the achievements and strength of the LGBTQ+ community. It added that it also serves as a countdown celebration for pride celebration.
The Saint Mark United Methodist said it would also highlight some of the church’s history celebrating the pride month and the 30th year of the church’s involvement with the pride celebration.
The Methodist church has also called for pictures, videos, documents, and interesting stories involving Saint Mark’s history from the past pride celebrations.

The Atlanta Methodist church also expressed enthusiasm to take this month to highlight the rich history that lives within the Saint Mark United Methodist Church members.

Mural Dedicated to 50th Atlanta Pride
The Saint Mark United Methodist Church has also unveiled the beautiful mural dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Atlanta Pride, according to its Facebook post on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The Methodist church also expressed pride and felt honored to have its church featured on the mural.
Saint Mark also thanked the Dad’s Garage Theatre and Consulate General of Canada for commissioning the art.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Methodist church dedicated the mural to the LGBTQ+ community for doing the work to make Atlanta a city that welcomes everyone.
Supportive of Bisexuality+ Visibility Day
The Saint Mark United Methodist Church has also celebrated the Bisexuality+ Visibility Day to appreciate and recognize the bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer communities on Thursday, Oct. 23.
In a separate Facebook post, the church said the Bisexual Week is an excellent opportunity to recognize and raise awareness of the bisexual, pansexual, fluid, and queer members.
The Methodist church highlighted the bisexual+ community is frequently overlooked in both straight and gay communities.
According to the Saint Mark United Methodist Church, the bisexual community makes up at least 40 percent of the LGBTQ+ population.
Saint Mark wrote that bisexual people are seen, valued, and loved in the church.
The church also assured the bisexual+ people that they are always welcome as an essential part of the Saint Mark United Methodist Church.
Bisexual+ Visibility Day Celebrations
The different countries across the world have celebrated the Bisexual+ Visibility Day, according to the Bisexual Visibility Day website.
The Bisexual Visibility Day is a website, which features the different information and celebrations regarding the Bisexual+ Visibility Day event across the globe, it stated on its website.
The website shared that the Bisexual Visibility Day has raised bisexual awareness and challenged the erasure of bisexual and biromantic people since 1999.
