The Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia celebrated lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, June 2, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church greeted the LGBTQ+ community this month.

This month and throughout the year, the church continues its tradition of welcoming LGBTQ+ siblings into the family, raising queer stories of joy and strength, fighting for equality for all people, and taking stock of how far they've come while looking forward to the work ahead, according to the church’s post.

The church said it is happy to be an organization that works all year to assist gay siblings.

Young Adult Ministry

The Saint Mark United Methodist Church's young adult ministry meets on the last Sunday of each month to participate in sporting activities, according to the church.

The Saint Mark United Methodist Church announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday, June 1, that it had a terrific time with the Saint Mark Young Adults at the Braves game this past Sunday.

Those who are young individuals looking to meet new people and get involved should email Rev. Jess at jcusick@stmarkumc.org, according to the church's message.

Speak About Issues

People should speak up about issues, according to the Saint Mark United Methodist Church.

Saint Mark United Methodist Church issued a Facebook call to the public on Friday, May 27 to contact elected officials and inform them of their positions.

According to the church, many people have suffered from feelings of pessimism, frustration, and futility in the aftermath of the Uvalde disaster. Of course, in difficult times, they rely on prayer and faith. The church, on the other hand, declared that they must act.

The Saint Mark United Methodist Church has provided a variety of connections for getting in touch with their representatives, as well as an example phone script (inspired by @jamiebgolden's recent viral post).

Regardless of their thoughts or convictions, the church claims that when individuals utilize their rights and speak up, the world becomes a better place.

Church Worship Service

On May 29, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church did not host a service.

On Thursday, May 19, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church announced via Facebook that the 9 a.m. 

The Sunday service has been canceled. Saturday, May 29, or Sunday, July 3 (Memorial Day weekend) (Independence Day weekend).

The church wants to see people at 11 a.m., either online or in-person, according to its website.

After a magnificent Easter worship service and an Easter egg hunt last Sunday, the Saint Mark United Methodist Church expressed gratitude to its members.

According to a Facebook post from Saint Mark United Methodist Church, the children had a wonderful time collecting Easter eggs, planting seeds, and building wonderful memories.

The church's post said the fantastic brunch event hosted in Wade Hall drew entire families.
