Second-Ponce De Leon Baptist Church
Second-Ponce De Leon Baptist Church aims to "convey the whole gospel to the full person," as Jesus did throughout his earthly mission, by fusing partnerships with valuable service, per the church’s about page.
It identifies its mission activity as local in Atlanta and the state of Georgia, and as international in mission fields in other states, countries, and continents.
The site revealed that it offers connections through collaborations, service, and prayer due to its purposeful relationships in these two areas.
Outreach, Missions
Second-Ponce De Leon Baptist Church's Mission Council extended help to Ukrainian Christians. Aside from this, Hope Now, a local charity, has helped Ukrainian orphans for many years. It is striving to get warm hats for the winter for the Ukrainian troops, many of whom were formerly orphans in the Hope Now program, per the church’s outreach page.
The missions page said that the church had maintained relationships with other organizations over the years as they serve God's people by attending to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
The site revealed that the church also organizes and participates in various mission service activities, such as providing weekly flower deliveries to shut-ins, collecting food for nearby food pantries, assisting Miami, Florida, after-school programs for children, and much more.
It added that the church keeps an active prayer support system for its outreach initiatives because not all Christians can make financial contributions or join the church in mission service.
Second-Ponce De Leon Baptist Church Atlanta formally establishes a connection with individual Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field staff, the page bared.
It assists Janée Angel in serving Belgium's rapidly expanding Arabic-speaking refugee population. After six years of service in an Arabic or French church in Brussels, the site said.
The church currently offers weekly services, Bible studies, a music ministry, and a kids' program, the page reads.
Other Church Details
Using its higher and lower lots, Second-Ponce has plenty of on-site parking. Although most individuals dress in business casual on Sunday mornings, we want you to feel comfortable. Second-Ponce will accept you as long as you are dressed, per its home page.
Participants won't be required to wear name badges or be put under oath. They are not required to make a donation or to sing along. The site said a welcome card is provided in the pew rack if they have any inquiries, need prayer, or are interested in church activities or resources.
The sole purpose of this card is to inform better church attendees and members about upcoming events and activities, per the church’s home page.
Children of all ages can be cared for during the worship service. At the Kids' Club entrance, parents can drop off and pick up young children in the nursery, the page revealed.
In the Kids' Club, room C3005 is available for drop-off and pick-up for children three and older. The Kids' Worship is open to all kids ages three and above. During the Offertory, kids in the sanctuary are welcome to leave with Ms. Allie or another volunteer, the information page reads.
