Children's Ministry
The Kids' Club at Second-Ponce De Leon Baptist Church is a welcoming environment where young people are encouraged to grow in their faith through worship, discipleship, Scripture, music, theatre, and valuable service, according to the church’s ministries section.
The "In the Kids' Club" is how the church interacts with children; through this club, the church hopes that children will develop their faith as they learn more about God's love, the site said.
They will develop their understanding of Jesus through Bible study, prayer, worship, and service. Children will connect with different age groups in the church family while attempting to commit their lives to God. The page revealed they are urged to distribute the gifts that God has provided them appropriately.
On the other side, as parents assist the church in leading their children toward Christianity, they will also grow in their faith, the site bared.
They will form a strong bond and sharpen one another to strengthen the Body of Christ. The Children's Ministry page said that parents would be urged to share God's gifts as a sign of his love.
A Parents Connect Group is held in the church every Thursday at 8:30 p.m., the site reads.
The page revealed that children of all ages are cared for during the worship session.
At the Kids' Club entrance, parents can drop off and pick up young children in the nursery. In the Kids' Club, room C-3005 is available for drop-off and pick-up for children three years old and older, the site said.
Kids' Worship is open to all children. The page revealed that kids in the sanctuary are welcome to leave with Ms. Allie or another volunteer during the Offertory.
Other Events for Children
The church will host a Kids' Club Valentine's FriYAY on Friday, Feb. 10, in addition to the retreat, per the children’s section.
Children up to the fifth grade are welcome. The cost is $15 per child, and space is limited. The event will be a fun-filled evening for kids that includes dinner, a Bible story, games, and crafts while parents can spend some time together, the site said.
Next is the Stellar VBS 2023, which will be held from Jun. 5 to Jun. 9, for students in grades 6 through 12, the page revealed.
Through activities like Sing and Play Blast-Off, Stellar Bible Adventures, Imagination Station, All-Star Games, Galactic Snacks, KidVid Cinema, and more, the "Stellar" Vacation Bible School at Second-Ponce sends youngsters on an intergalactic voyage that's light years of faith-building excitement, the site reads.
