Shallowford Presbyterian Church to hold annual ‘trunk or treat’ event

The Shallowford Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, is set to hold its annual “trunk or treat” event on Saturday, Oct. 30.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Oct. 6, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church has called for participants in the trunk or treat event.

According to the church, the annual event will be held at the Shallowford Presbyterian Church’s parking lot on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The Shallowford Presbyterian Church said interested participants must also prepare fun and creative costumes for the event.

The church also expressed its excitement and enthusiasm as it looked forward to the participant’s fun costumes and creative trunks.

The Presbyterian church also encouraged the public to make donations through the church’s Amazon wish list.

Sunday Worships

According to its website, the Shallowford Presbyterian Church is a community of faith and a congregation dedicated to worship, caring, mission, and spiritual growth.

During the Sunday worship, in the chapel at 8:30 a.m., it will host a 30-minute service with scripture, hymns, and a sermon is held, the church’s website stated.

The church emphasized that early risers and those who desire a more intimate worship experience will like this program.

Meanwhile, the church will provide various opportunities for members of all ages to come together to explore, understand, and apply faith in our daily lives through Sunday School Classes at 9:30 a.m. worship.

In the sanctuary at 11 a.m., the church said an hour-long service with a full choir, guest instrumentalists, scripture, hymns, and a sermon. This service is streamed live on the internet.

It added that visitors, members, children, and friends from the different areas are invited to join in the Great Hall for fellowship and a shared meal when it is safe to do so.

Call for Teachers in Toddler Classes

The Shallowford Presbyterian School announced last Saturday, Sept. 11, that it is looking for more teachers in its toddler classes.

The Presbyterian school said due to good quality teachers have yet to be hired, the school has postponed the start of classes.

According to the announcement, the Shallowford Presbyterian school is looking for teachers with a passion for children who want to be a part of a half-day preschool ministry.

It also emphasized that the position is ideal for a parent with school-aged children looking for part-time employment that allows them to be available after school.

The school said the task might also fill a portion of their day.

A retired educator who still wants to work with children but not full-time may be a good fit for this post, it added.

Nurture Intellectual, Spiritual Foundation

According to its website, the mission of Shallowford Presbyterian School is to nurture the whole child by accepting their differences and laying a solid intellectual, spiritual, and social foundation.

The school’s website stated that it serves toddlers through fifth graders.

It further adds that the Shallowford Presbyterian School provides a caring, secure environment in which each child is respected.

It added that the Shallowford Presbyterian School has educated thousands of children over the past 50 years, many of whom have returned to enroll their children.
