About The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany

Established in 1972, Richardson, Texas, is home to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.

They aim to serve God, the church, and the neighborhood by spreading and demonstrating God's love for all people.

The congregation is affiliated with the Episcopal Church, part of the worldwide Anglican Communion and the world's third-largest Christian denomination.

Epiphany is a parish in the Dallas Episcopal Diocese.

Campus, Art

The Epiphany campus sits on five acres at the intersection of Greenleaf Drive and Custer Road in the Heights Park area of Richardson.

The church contains a family annex, parish center, and playground for the kids.

Meanwhile, according to the website, Epiphany is rich with works of art that praise God and serve to strengthen devotion, uplift the spirits, and shed light on the many aspects of God's glory.

In April 1976, during the dedication of the new sanctuary, a crucifix was placed on the altar. The Eucharistic prayer is shown in this basswood relic.

As part of the new sanctuary's construction in 1976, Woody Bray made possible the installation of Stations of the Cross around the periphery of the nave. Each one of these bronze statues weighs about 30 pounds.

Music

The music at Epiphany does everything from calming the mind to nourishing the soul to facilitating closer communication with God. As a result of their efforts, the centuries-old tradition of Anglican music has been given a new lease on life.

The Roy Redman Opus 17 pipe organ in the sanctuary's rear gallery serves as its focal point.

According to the church, it was dedicated on Dec. 4, 1977. It was built from pipes gathered by Fr. Blanchard Boyer, St. Margaret's Parish's third rector.

The 24 stops and 32 ranks of pipes on the tracker-action organ are directly connected to the keyboards. For restoring the instrument, Roy Redman of Fort Worth employed only three sets of new pipes in addition to the existing pipes.
