FEC United, one of Colorado’s known defense wing and conservative groups, recently gathered at The Rock Church in Castle Rock, Colorado, a few miles away from Denver. The gathering was for a reported emergency town hall meeting of its members.

Who Were Invited to Event?

As per a 9News report, many of the popular “election conspiracy theorists” were invited to the said gathering at a local church. FEC United’s founder Joe Oltmann led the event.

The gathering also introduced Republican Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who recently announced running as Colorado’s secretary of state, the highest position in the state.

“Colorado deserves a secretary of state who will stand up to the Biden administration that wants to run our country into the ground with nationalized elections,” she said.

There was no available information on what was the main agenda of the group in conducting a meeting inside the church.

Still, other personalities in politics joined the FEC United meeting, including Former CU conservative visiting scholar John Eastman, El Paso County GOP Chair Vickie Tonkins, GOP El Paso County Sheriff candidate Todd Watkins, GOP gubernatorial candidate Danielle Neuschwanger, GOP candidate for Senate District 35 Kevin Conrad, co-host of Conservative Daily podcast with Oltmann Max McGuire, and self-proclaimed election denier Shawn Smith.

As per 9News, the majority of the attendees of the said gathering have had controversial statements in the past, mainly about politics and the Ten Commandments.

One of them was Shawn Smith, who reportedly suggested “hanging” the current Colorado secretary of state, Jena Griswold. Worse, he mentioned this phrase inside a church where people allegedly applauded him right after.

As explained by Smith, Jena was involved in election fraud. Thus, she deserved to be hanged.

Last year, Secretary Jena already explained her side and that the claims were “patently false.” She also called her critics “bad actors,” abusing the judicial process to spread misinformation to other people.

What is FEC United?

As per its website, the FEC United group consists of “bold men and women” who reportedly aim to protect the U.S. Constitution by using courage than fear. They believe that Americans must unite to “restore liberty, demand accountability, and save our [their] nation.”

History is also an important aspect for the group as its members believe that it should not be “erased and convoluted.” The FEC United stands grounds on three pillars such as faith, education, and commerce.

In line with faith, the organization has another group called the FEC United Faith Alliance. As per its website, the specific group has a goal of uniting faith communities in Colorado. They also aim to educate spiritual leaders for them to highlight giving out a “faith-based view of policy and politics to their congregations.”

What is The Rock Church?

Located in Castle Rock, Colorado, The Rock Church reportedly believes in following Jesus and applying grace, forgiveness, and mercy to its members. As mentioned on their site, their members are like family to the congregation who learn about God and pursue Him.
