In an article with the Denver Catholic, Brittany Beck, a musician currently adventuring around in Denver, shared her musical journey after facing unexpected success with her debut album.
Started from a Childhood Dream
Being a musician had always been Beck's childhood dream.
According to Beck, she remembered that as a youngster, she would constantly fantasize that she was on stage.
She stated that all her life, she has liked music and has always desired to sing.
While taking piano and vocal lessons as a youngster, Beck's dream was partially achieved.
Nevertheless, it wasn't until she was serving as a missionary in South Dakota that it started to take shape.
Beck found herself leading praise and worship for the young adult group, first with a buddy and later by herself, despite never having played the piano in front of people.
Beck stated that she was scared.
She stated that she could perform in front of audiences all day long, but she has never played the piano for anyone.
She only learned to lead praise and worship after being somewhat coerced out of her comfort zone.
Beck also stated that at that time, she wasn't attempting to accomplish anything with music.
Beck now understands that God had different intentions.
Debut Album Preparations
She revealed a concept to a buddy while beginning to research recording a song or two using a gift from a friend, including the $6000 price tag for a full album.
Much to Beck's amazement, she discovered a cheque for the whole sum in her mailbox.
She revealed that she had two weeks to prepare for recording an entire album.
However, she had never in my life kept a record of anything and was doing it completely blindly.
But, given that she had a month to prepare and was able to record the full album in five days, she supposed that it was part of God's plan.
The year 2021 saw the release of her debut album, "Calling Me Deeper," which is now available on all the main streaming sites.
Earlier this year, she also unveiled a brand-new song named "Unbreakable."
She is now working on a follow-up to "Calling Me Deeper," and she is still touring nationally and locally.
According to God's Plan
According to Beck, everything just sort of dropped into her lap, and her doors opened.
That said, she simply took it as a sign that she was supposed to be doing something with this.
And she stated that she believes she will simply keep making music and keep praying for God to show her where He wants her to go with it.
Beck, who said she's humbled to be able to convey her human experience, was impacted by her Catholic perspective and Christian worldview.
That said, Beck stated that she believes her Christian perspective will always be conveyed in the topics that she discusses, sings, and writes about.
According to Beck, her current goal is to genuinely connect with others who aren't openly Christian.
She stated that she simply wants her music to be accessible to listeners and to be a wonderful
discussion starter.
As of now, Beck keeps on writing and creating music, drawing inspiration from the Bible, prayer, and the Mass, among other aspects of her human experience.
