Denver Community Church (DCC) was recently represented by Transwestern Real Estate Services in the acquisition of property 333 & 375 S. located at Zuni St. in Denver, Colorado.

According to the Mile High CRE website, the property was purchased for $3.775 million from a partnership between Oxi Fresh Franchising Company Inc. and BE Properties Corp.

Vision for the Property

According to the report, the 1.1-acre property in Denver's Athmar Park area has a 10,000-square-foot gym on 375 S. Zuni.

It previously served as the Denver Rockets' and a nonprofit basketball academy's practice facility back in the day.

The gym, which has a wooden barrel roof, will house DCC's faith community as it can easily accommodate around 500 people.

The site also allows an easy Sunday morning commute for DCC community members coming from the Northern, Central, and Southern parts of Denver.

The property also has developable land on 333 S. Zuni.

DCC intends to build new church offices, a Sunday morning kids ministry, and multi-purpose space on the vacant lot.

DCC's executive pastor, Jon Gettings, expressed his congregation's enthusiasm for the land. He believes the property will serve as their church community's future home.

He stated that the property would enable them to assist their nonprofit partners across the city and the world. They also aimed to be good neighbors to the Valverde and Athmar Park communities and serve as a meeting space for everyone who calls DCC home.

Gettings and the congregation also expressed gratitude to the Transwestern team for their assistance in locating and purchasing the property.

Since the beginning, Transwestern has reportedly aided DCC in its strategic plan to secure a new location for the congregation's needs.

The organization represented DCC in the $3.1 million sale of the 18,155-square foot church at 1101 S Washington St. in January 2022.

According to a representative of the organization, they are pleased to assist DCC in finding a new permanent location despite the fierce competition, as the property had an unoccupied 10,000-square-foot building and developable land.

They also stated they are eager to see the former gym's transformation into a distinct house of worship.

Denver Community Church

By the grace of God, DCC rose from its humble beginnings and can now go into new ventures to expand its congregation and reach more people's hearts, based on its website.

DCC originated when a group of individuals felt called to immigrate to Denver to establish a church that would be so deeply ingrained in the neighborhood.

With this, DCC came into being in the spring of 2001.

Since then, the focus of the congregation has been to explore and engage in the life of Jesus. In this way, they hope to be healing in the world.

DCC collaborates with people and organizations in Denver and throughout the world to accomplish their desire.

Moreover, as a congregation, DCC continues to be lifelong learners grounded in God's love.

With that said, they engage in acts of generosity and compassion to whoever shows up on their doorstep, developing together and supporting one another through life.
