Former Denver resident and Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert recently went to Basalt to speak to a Christian crowd over the latest decision of the Supreme Court about abortion rights. She said that the decision was all glory to God and that this was the harvest of all their prayers.

Aside from the controversial overturn decision of the Roe v. Wade case, the congresswoman also speak out on the issue of separation of Church and State. She said that she was already tired of the issue and that the Church should always be superior to the other.

Representative Boebert Attends Cornerstone Christian Center Event

On Sunday, June 26, Representative Boebert attended a Christian gathering held at Cornerstone Christian Center in Basalt, Colorado.

As reported via The Denver Post, the congresswoman spoke to the crowd for more than an hour about her personal opinions and beliefs in the system of the separation of Church and State, as well as the recent overturn decision of the SC.

According to the report, the congresswoman expressed her gratitude to all who prayed for the SC decision. But, she also expressed to the crowd that the fight against abortion is not yet over.

“This is the second day that we woke up in a post-Roe nation. Glory to God,” Boebert said. “This is the fruit of your labor, of your votes, and your prayers. This is your harvest.”

As she talked to the crowd, Representative Boebert also voiced her vision for America. In her speech, she said that “this nation will glorify God” and that she believed that the country is aligned with Israel as a God-glorifying place.

Separation of State, Church

The issue of separation of State and Church was also included in the speech of the congresswoman. Representative Boebert called it ‘junk’ and said that the idea was not in the Constitution.

A controversial statement was also expressed by the congresswoman, saying that the Church is supposed to be more powerful than the state. Thus, she believed that it should not be under the control of the state.

Not Agreeable

Although the crowd of Representative Boobert seemed to like everything she said in her speech, University of Colorado Boulder retired law professor Richard Collins explained that the congresswoman’s statements were no longer surprising.

It was also what Andrew Seidel of Americans United said in the report, which contradicted the congresswoman by expressing that the Constitution did not cite any religion or religious terms.

Representative Boebert’s Controversial Statements

This was not the first time that Representative Boebert expressed a controversial idea in a crowd. Recently, Crossmap featured a story from Yahoo News, reporting that the congresswoman joked about Jesus Christ not having enough AR-15s to survive His death.

Many of the people who watched the speech said that the congresswoman’s jokes were absolute blasphemy. Some, especially the crowd in her speech, laughed at the joke.

As per the Washington Post, Representative Boebert is a vocal supporter of gun rights. In January 2021, she challenged the Democrats to stop banning guns inside the U.S. Capitol.
