Randy White has been the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Katy since August, 2003. Dr. White has a passion for making disciples through Biblical preaching, world-wide missions, and personal evangelism.
Dr. White and Shelley, his wife of 23 years, have two children. Their daughter is a university student studying for a career in missions and their son attends Liberty University Online Academy as a High School student. Shelley is a school teacher in a private, classical education school.
Dr. White grew up in New Mexico in a preacher’s home. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Golden Gate Baptist Seminary in Mill Valley, California. He has been a senior pastor since 1992 and has been in the ministry since 1987.
He has served in various denominational positions in the local association, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. In addition to his service through various denominational positions, Dr. White has written numerous magazine articles for Lifeway Christian Resources. He is on the Board of Trustees for Criswell College. He and Shelley love to travel to Israel to see and learn more about the Bible and its land and history.
