We are currently seeking candidates for a part-time Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator.

Schedule: Monday (12 - 4:30pm), Tuesday (8:30 - 1:30pm), Thursday (8:30 – 1:30 PM) and Friday (8:30-2pm). Up to 20 hrs.

Job Summary: This position provides professional administrative and clerical support for the Senior and Associate Pastor and CTK Staff team. In addition to typing, filing, and scheduling, performs duties such as coordinating bulk mailings, proofreading and working on special projects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Student Ministry staff.

  • While demonstrating a high level of professionalism, works with staff, church members, and community members to coordinate, schedule, confirm and maintain current information on room reservations using Facility Scheduler. Supports files for all requests. Communicates exclusions or unique recommendations with the Facilities Manager.

  • Works with Pastors and Ministry Staff (including preschool) to maintain Church’s Schedule in Facilities Scheduler. Works with Facilities Manager to ensure event planning needs and safety are met.

  • Assists staff in preparing and administering ministry programs such as Vision & Values, Confirmation, Baptisms, Prayer Ministry, Big Picture Bible Study, Prayer Requests, and Faith Legacy.

  • Answers and screens all incoming calls, transfers calls to appropriate staff, and takes messages as needed.

  • Provides primary backup for other administrative staff and receptionist duties as needed.

  • Maintains an orderly and clean office and filing system for the area in Teams.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.

· Person of faith- Able to live out and support the mission of Christ the King.

· Integrity- Able to be tactful, maintain confidence, and foster a Christian and ethical work environment.

· Problem Solving- Able to act in solving problems while exhibiting sound judgment.

· Service focused- Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery to staff and congregates, demonstrate positive responses to requests.

Education Requirements:

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent GED.

· Associates degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and traverse stairs. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds sometimes.
