The Lakewood Youth Administrative Assistant - Seasonal is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Youth Ministry Team as we continue to create an environment for our youth to have a genuine experience with God through their time with Lakewood Church. This will a be a seasonal position for approximately 3 months.
This position reports to the Youth Pastor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform general office duties and special projects as required
- Assist with the coordinating of meetings and appointments
- Coordinate with Lakewood Events department on all Youth events
- Meet weekly with Youth and Nextgen Ministry staff
- Assist with coordinating of meetings, events, conferences, and camps/retreats for Youth Ministry staff
- Handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion and diplomacy
- Assist in the planning and execution of details for the weekly youth service
- Assist with Creative & Worship Department meetings and facilitate work orders and purchase orders for required events
- Aid in the management of the team's and Youth Director’s shared calendars and event schedule
MINISTERIAL DUTIES

- Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
QUALIFICATIONS
- Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values and core beliefs
- Strong organizational and problem resolution skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, identify priorities, meet deadlines and exhibit a high level of communication skills with a diverse population
- Ability to prioritize work effectively, with good organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability of handling conflicts and resolving problems
- Ability to work under pressure at a fast pace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with use of proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and business formatting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Display professional appearance and conduct
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently on projects and collaboratively with department members
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some college preferred
