CCSC seeks Assistant Program Manager,
Emergency Services–Central (part-time)
Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) is a well-established social service agency supported by 39 churches in central/southwest Houston. Our aim is to alleviate the effects of poverty. We are currently searching for a professional to join our team as a part-time Assistant Program Manager of Emergency Services-Central.
Emergency Services is CCSC’s original program created in 1980 to meet the basic needs of clients in crisis. Staff and a volunteer team provide individualized services to each household including groceries, hygiene items, referrals to other helping agencies, and emergency payments for rent, utilities or medical needs.
The Assistant Program Manager helps oversee service delivery at our program site in the Greenway Plaza area, helping ensure effective operations through solid volunteer leadership, coordination of resources and materials, and community collaborations. This position involves 25 hours weekly with two Saturday mornings per month anticipated.
Nonprofit program and/or volunteer management experience—preferably in a basic-needs environment; solid organization skills; excellent communication skills; a passion for service; demonstrated leadership; and computer proficiency are required for consideration. A college degree, Spanish fluency and database experience are strongly preferred.
