Join the Purchasing and Support Services Team as a Receptionist-Cashier! As the Bilingual Receptionist-Cashier you are responsible for receiving clients, in-person and by telephone, and directing them to the proper program, as well as for handling cashier and mailroom duties. Must be able to work overtime when needed.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

 


  • High school diploma/GED equivalency.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

  • Two (2) years of experience on computerized telephone system

What you Deliver

 


  • You operate the switchboard functions of computerized telephone system, recording and selecting outgoing messages, taking messages, and facilitating communications between staff members.

  • You assess calls and transfers calls to appropriate program or staff members.

  • You greet clients and visitors directing them accurately to staff members.

  • You assure that all clients and visitors sign in and provide them with a visitor badge.

  • You require contact with staff, clients, volunteers and general public by telephone or in-person.

  • You open, distribute daily mail and stamp out-going mail.

  • You collect and account for programs service fees, collecting in-kind and monetary contributions.

  • You assist with processing the safe contents.

  • You accept all packages from FedEx/UPS etc. and delivers to appropriate recipient.

  • You monitor UPS/Fed Ex logbook to ensure all information is legible and accounts codes are provided for shipments.

  • You provide backup for Support Services Assistants as needed.

  • You contact Building Services and/or Support Services regarding needing assistance with donations, room set-ups, deposits, or any facility maintenance.

  • You are responsible for sorting, valuing, and packaging donations for distribution according to target goals for La Tiendieta and/or the Distribution Center.

  • You supervise volunteer groups and assist program staff in the selection of product as needed.

  • You perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing and Support Services Director, Support Services Manager and/or team Coordinators, including but not limited to data entry, file scanning, helping with various mailings, assisting other departments, etc.

  • You assist with special organizational projects/events.
