Job Description
The Relief and Outreach Box Truck Driver assists in delivering resources to Lakewood Churchs local and Gulf Coast partner organizations.
This position reports to the Director of Relief and Outreach.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate a 26' box truck to deliver and pickup goods and materials within the region around Houston, Texas
- Follow best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading the truck
- Communicate with warehouse team and leadership to ensure timely deliveries
- Meet delivery deadlines
- Coordinates basic truck maintenance
- Prepare and palletize items for delivery alongside warehouse team
- Assist in warehouse functions to support delivery functions and general warehouse functions
- Assist with basic warehouse activities in preparation of truck operations
- Record, maintain, and manage appropriate documentation needed for all deliveries
- Perform additional duties as assigned

This will also include:
- Regular attendance at Church services and classes
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid TX Drivers License (CDL Class B is a plus)
- Clear driving record
- Ability to maintain a timely schedule
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Additional training as required related to role
- Growing and committed follower of Christ
- Ability to communicate effectively to adults and children both orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Be available to operate with a flexible schedule, potentially during the times of crisis and relief efforts
Education & Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of box truck or similar driving experience is preferred
