Cash Receipts Representative 

 

SUMMARY:

The Cash Receipts Representative I performs basic accounting and clerical functions, including data record entry and communications related to collection, and reconciliation of revenue received by Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries. It requires familiarity with the operations and objectives of an internal reconciliation as it relates to Cash Receipts. This position reports to the Cash Receipts Manager.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconciliation of cash receipts received in various forms of payments
  • Prepares cash deposits and arranges for deposit in accordance with company policy
  • Compiles data, generates, and reviews Microsoft Dynamics CRM distribution reports
  • Work with excel worksheets to record all deposits and their accounting code distributions
  • Works with other members of the accounting department to ensure that all cash deposits are accounted for and processed correctly through Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Prepares weekly deposits for armored services pick-up
  • Sorts through mail and ensures they are sent to the bank accordingly
  • Processes all bank returned items & performs a reconciliation
  • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values and core beliefs
  • Ability to prioritize duties and work unsupervised daily
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, in a fast-paced, high volume environment, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all records
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred

EDUCATION:

  • High School Degree/GED Required
  • Some College Coursework in Accounting, Finance or General Business or 1+ years of recent related experience in accounting or related field
