The role of the Children’s Ministry Associate is to provide support to the children’s ministry team by learning about and participating in the weekly operations of the ministry.
Qualifications
Must be a Born-Again Christian
Strong organizational/administrative skills.
Bilingual Chinese and English (verbal, writing, typing) preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required for effective interface with all contacts at all levels within and outside the organization.
Must have a positive attitude of genuine caring for the congregation, staff and visitors at all times and poise under pressure.
Maintain a servant’s heart and a cooperative team spirit with staff, volunteers and congregation.
Computer training and experience in word processing, the internet and data systemsWillingness (teachable) to learn new technology and other skills.
Regular church attendance is required (attendance at WHCC is preferred).Personal integrity and self-motivation in the fulfillment of ministry.
Responsibilities Meet weekly with the Children’s Ministry Director and WKids team to address monthly and weekly ministry needs.
Meet weekly with the Children’s Director and WKids team for leadership development and prayer.
Participate in meetings and trainings for staff team, and for coordinators and teachers from different divisions.
Study and understand the spiritual and developmental needs of children.
Communicate with parents/families from all congregations.
Communicate and care for teachers from all congregations.
Assist the Children’s Director in planning for collaboration with the Youth Ministry during the summer quarter.
Assist in the creation and development of a curriculum for the summer of 2023 based on the church’s preaching series
.Assist in the coordination of resources to support children and families during summer Intergen services.
Other duties as assigned.
