PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR - KIDSLIFE Early Childhood

JOB DESCRIPTION

The KidsLife Preschool Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the Preschool ministry of Lakewood Church. This position reports to the KidsLife Early Childhood Associate Director and leads the Preschool ministry program, including both global and ground campuses, toward the vision set forth by the Senior Pastor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Shepherd, recruit, develop and train a team of volunteers to care and teach children
Lead onboarding, development and engagement for volunteers, including Life Group support
Develop and implement age-specific ministry programming that engages the children at their developmental stage for both ground (in-person building attendance) and global (online, digital experience) campuses
Service-Leading for ground or global campus events
Oversee the process to develop, write and / or edit Preschool curriculum and content
Lead and direct the development of the craft as part of preschool curriculum
Support parents in the spiritual development of their children
Oversee the implementation and adherence of Lakewood Church’s child safety policies and procedures throughout the Preschool areas
Own the weekly implementation of a quality ministry experience for Preschool-aged children and their families for both ground (in-person building attendance) and global (online, digital experience) campuses
Train volunteers consistently, in best teaching and classroom management practices
Identify, develop, train, and oversee leaders within the Preschool area
Ensure the proper maintenance of the Preschool equipment and rooms
Ensure the Preschool classrooms are properly equipped and service-ready
Participate in the development and execution of KidsLife Events, Team Meetings and other Lakewood Church events
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Associate Director

Ministerial Duties/ Responsibilities

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are you required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community. This will also include:

Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church.

QUALIFICATIONS

Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values and core beliefs
Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
Growing, committed follower of Christ
2 years of experience in leading Preschool and preschool-aged children
Ability to organize, develop, and lead effectively
Ability to communicate effectively to adults and children, both orally and in writing
Pastoral heart, self–motivated, diplomatic and able to work independently and collaboratively
Customer service oriented
