The 1st-3rd Grade Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of planning and executing the ministry experience for 1st-3rd grade children.

This position reports to the KidsLife Elementary Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

Work alongside the Elementary Manager to Develop and implement age-specific ministry programming that engages 1st-3rd grade children at their developmental stage, instills trust and ministry value to the parent, and inspires volunteer commitment
Recruit, organize, build, and oversee the weekend 1st-3rd Grade volunteer teams
Prepare 1st-3rd Grade Curriculum at the direction of the Elementary Manager
Oversee and assure the overall quality of ministry for 1st-3rd Grade
Communicate with 1st-3rd Grade team members on a weekly basis
Assist in developing, organizing, and executing of Elementary and J-Life Events
Assure the proper maintenance of the 1st-3rd Grade equipment and ministry areas
Assure that the 1st-3rd Grade ministry areas are safe and secure
Assure that all Lakewood Church and Kidslife policies are adhered to
Oversee the J-Life program
Participate in the development and execution of Kidslife Events and Team Meetings
Perform general office duties and special projects associated with 1st-3rd Grade Services
Perform additional duties as assigned

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

This will also include:

Regular attendance at Church services and classes
Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church
Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core beliefs
Passionate about serving, leading, and ministering to children and their parents
Experience creating and executing age-appropriate ministry curriculum
Professional appearance and conduct
Demonstrated Christ-like Character
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and friendly disposition
Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills
Previous work with leading and organizing volunteers to a common objective
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

College degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of ministry experience in a leadership capacity
