Primary Function of this position: The Coordinator Youth Ministry is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Parish in providing comprehensive Youth ministry for Junior high and Senior High students.
Working relationship:
Implement, coordinate, facilitate and execute plans, activities, and events for Youth Ministry at St Hyacinth.
Initiate, coordinate, implement and facilitate weekly/monthly worships and Fun (activities) for the young people of the parish.
Initiate, coordinate, implement and facilitate activities in the areas of catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice, service, leadership development, prayer, worship.
Coordinate and maintain contact with the Archdiocesan Office of Adolescent Catechesis & Evangelization and Young Adults & Campus Ministry.
Direct, coordinate and facilitate all activities which is required for work with the heads of ministry, clergy, staff, and area schools.
Coordinate, assist and help (Faith Formation Department) with the preparation and facilitation of the yearly Confirmation retreat and Confirmation Day of reflection.
Develop, coordinate, and facilitate fund raising events to support Youth Ministry, and Youth Ministry projects.
The applicant must also possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry, or related field. All applicants will be expected to have completed or be willing to complete formation required by the Archdiocesan office Adolescent Catechesis and Evangelization.
