Join the Refugee Resettlement team as the Coordinator. The Coordinator SAS (Social Adjustment Services) ASA (Afghan Supplemental Appropriations) is responsible for enrolling eligible clients into the Social Adjustment Services (ASA) program and referring them to the Refugee Cash Assistance program. The SAS Coordinator (ASA) will oversee the completion of intakes and assessments and provide quality case management services for all clients enrolled in the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills and be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.

The Expertise We're Looking For

Associate Degree; or

Two (2) years of experience instead of education

Two (2) years of experience in a social service setting or similar setting

One (1) year of experience in a leadership role

Valid Texas Driver’s License

You demonstrate the ability to operate standard office equipment (phone system, copier, fax, etc.).

What you Deliver

You coordinate SAS (ASA) efforts, helping to ensure that case management outcomes are met, and overseeing data entry into the Refugee Management Solutions (RMS) and Client Track databases.

You oversee the provision of assessments, intakes, and individualized service plans to eligible clients. Works with case managers to ensure all needs identified in the needs assessment are appropriately addressed. Refers clients to an internal and external program to help address needs identified in the needs assessment.

You provide or coordinate transportation and interpretation for eligible clients to social service agencies and medical centers, as needed. As required, advocates for clients and includes follow-up assistance for case managers and clients.

You complete documentation promptly, submit documentation by the due date, and end progress notes. Maintains accurate file documentation for all clients. Attends staff meetings regularly.

You perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
