Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church's vision, values, and core beliefs

Demonstrable experience in managing a team of counseling professionals

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with love and grace (both written and oral communication)

Ability to manage and supervise a client management platform

Must be able to interact effectively with other employees in all levels of the organization as well as with the general public

Must be able to offer counseling services from a biblical perspective

Uncompromising commitment to confidentiality and discretion

A minimum of a Masters degree in Psychology or other related field

Licensed Mental Health Professional (i.e., Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the State of Texas

At least five years counseling or mental health therapist experience required

Responsibilities

The Director of the Counseling Ministry oversees all operational and administrative aspects of the counseling ministry and provides counseling to Lakewood Church staff

This position reports to the Associate Pastor of Care Ministries

Oversee and develop all operations of the counseling ministry and ensure that all federal, state, and local requirements are maintained

Completion and maintenance of case records in accordance with licensing standards and protocols

Provide quality assurance of individual and group counseling practices to ensure the highest levels of excellence are maintained

Oversee all administrative duties of the counseling ministry as required by the church

Oversee, and partner with division leaders to identify, recruit, and develop high capacity lay ministers and provide training to lay ministers and designated ministry staff

Act as a resource to other Lakewood church ministries

Collaborate with other counselors and ministries to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs and ministries

Create curriculum for the Hope for Depression class and lead weekly class

Identify and build relationship with local third party organizations and therapists for accurate and quality referrals for the church congregation

Other job related duties as assigned

You are responsible for communicating the Church's beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are you required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community

Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and

Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
