Job description
We are a Christian, faith-based program located within a Baptist Church. We are looking for a full time Lead Infant Teacher, Assistant Teachers and Floating Teachers in our Early Learning Center to encourage a positive educational environment for children 8 weeks old through 4K (5 years old). You will facilitate curriculum, daily schedules and supervise them while also motivating them to use their fine and gross motor skills which will exercise their imagination and development.
Responsibilities
- Follow and implement provided Christian curriculum for the students and use creative learning to stimulate growth.
- Provide consistency with work attendance so that the children can depend on the same teacher every day.
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities to a broad range of preschool ages.
- Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities.
- Evaluate children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track.
- Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children.
- Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action using positive reinforcements.
- Collaborate with other colleagues and be a team player.
- Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the state of Texas.
- Be comfortable implementing faith based Bible lessons to the students throughout the day.
- Always speak to the children in kind, loving tones always with the goal of positively nurturing their development.
Skills
- Proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods.
- Methodical and creative in teaching ability.
- Patience, flexibility and a deep love for children.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Certificate in first aid and CPR.
