Under the direction of the secondary food services coordinator, the lunchroom worker ensures that the food services program at the school is thriving. Part-time or full-time employment will be considered for this position.

GENERAL DUTIES

Follow directions of supervisor in the preparation to serve food for student lunches.
Comply with best practices for health and safety in food handling as outlined by the governing authority and supervisor.
Assist with receiving food orders from distributors. Follow the policies outlined by the organization to ensure that items are appropriately handled.
Acquire food items from vendors as requested by the supervisor.
Properly clean areas assigned by supervisor in the prescribed manner.
Ensure that cleaning chemicals and other items are correctly stored as outlined by the supervisor.
Ensure that food is served according to guidelines outlined by the supervisor.
Handle monies as assigned by supervisor according to policies.
Properly clean and store utensils and other equipment as outlined by supervisor.
Ensure that all monies received for lunch purchases are handled according to good practices outlined by the school business office.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent work ethic.
Ability to work well with co-workers.
Ability to work skillfully with preparing, cooking, and serving food.
Ability to support and promote the school’s position on school issues.
Flexibility and adaptability are required.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to handle money and make actual customer transactions involving money.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a born-again Christian whose lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures.
Must be able to accept and support the school’s doctrinal statement.
Must understand and commit to CCS’s educational objectives and philosophy of education.
Must attend a Bible-believing church.
Must be able to lift to approximatel0 lbs.
In perthe formance of duties, the employee works in an environment that may require daily trips to other buildings on campus, including occasional exposure to inclement weather.
