Join the Fund Development team as the Marketing Communications Coordinator. The Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing needed communications support to Catholic Charities’ programs across multiple locations throughout the Greater Houston region. The position will provide the marketing and communications support necessary to support agency objectives. This position requires a self-starter who takes the initiative to seek out new opportunities to bring awareness of Catholic Charities’ programs across multiple audiences while maintaining the agency’s brand standards. This person will have demonstrable experience in writing and editing, graphic design, marketing communications, and branding practices that contribute to strengthening external and internal agency awareness.


The Expertise We're Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, advertising, or related field

  • Three (3) years of experience in marketing or communications

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

  • You have excellent writing skills.

  • You demonstrate quality in graphic design; you must have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

  • You have competent photography skills.

  • You have experience or familiarity with video production.

  • You have essential media relations experience.

  • You have excellent verbal communication skills.

  • You have familiarity or proficiency with various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  • You have strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • You manage projects

  • You have Microsoft Office experience.

  • You can appropriately handle and maintain confidential information.

  • You can prioritize work responsibilities, handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have enthusiasm and openness toward working in a faith-based environment.

  • You can work with people from diverse backgrounds and personality types.

  • You have strong organizational skills.

 


What you Deliver

 


  • You provide communications support to Catholic Charities’ programs through graphic design and writing of print materials, monitoring, and utilizing consistent messaging.

  • You provide communications support through graphic design and writing for agency-wide communications materials and products – such as advertisements.

  • You practice respect and empathy in interviewing clients and writing compelling stories to demonstrate Catholic Charities’ mission in action.

  • You contribute to internal communications campaigns and initiatives, including the internal United Way campaign, to maintain consistent brand standards across the agency

  • You order, distribute and monitor quantities of promotional branded items for the program and agency-wide use.

  • You assist in providing content for social media campaigns and websites.

  • You assist in the creation and project management of fundraising materials such as newsletters and direct mail campaigns, in coordination with the Vice President of Development and Digital Marketing Coordinator.

  • You collaborate with communications team members in identifying opportunities for new content and PR-based projects that drive organizational objectives.

  • You do videography and photography in coordination with the Director of Communications.

  • You assist the Special Events team with marketing materials and provide on-site support at fundraising events as needed.

  • You provide support to the Development team as needed.
