Summary of Position
- Assist Director in scheduling employee teachers for weekday and special programming: Women’s Bible Studies, MIDLINK, MOPS, Parent Commitment, MIYC, GoHouston, and all other events requiring childcare.
- Communicate with and coordinate volunteer schedules.
- Assist with all NextGen volunteer recruitment process
- Work with the preschool coordinators to oversee programming including but not limited to Kinder Worship, Joyful Noise Choir, Parent Commitment, other discipleship opportunities, Missions Education, summer and weekday activities.
- The main contact for the teachers in the classroom throughout every special event and some Sunday morning session for questions and/or assistance.
- Plan and assist in all special events and logistics.
- Purchasing and coordinating supplies for all special events programming.
- Collaborate with and communicate volunteer coverage to teachers.
- Provide leadership and training for a systematic program of in-reach and outreach.
- Assist with enlisting, training, and developing leadership for the preschool area.
- Oversee the needs of the classrooms, curriculum, classroom supplies as well as maintaining relationship and communication with the teachers and volunteers.
- Build personal relationships with children and families within the ministry.
- Attend all coordinator meetings and serve at most preschool and church events as required.
- Work with ROCK team to update all information in the system
- Work within ROCK application to create reports for Birthdays/First Time Visitors/Kinder Grads, Parent list and any other reports as needed.
- Work within Rock to create and update Roster for Sunday and each event as well as check roster and diaper chart to ensure accuracy.
- Scan all rosters, diaper charts, accident report, etc. to OneDrive
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Preschool Ministry Director.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Promote and support First Friends team and community via social media channels.
- Work with creative to create and deliver all social media marketing materials.
- Monthly curriculum updates from Orange and via apple TV for each classroom.
- Update database views in Rock (church system) as well as parent communications.
- Maintain weekly spreadsheet metrics.
- Create and/or maintain monthly newsletter via Rock.
- Maintain Planning center schedules for employees and volunteers for all planned events.
- Update and clean OneDrive files and folders for preschool.
- Lead periodic training of LBS teachers as requested.
- Teach quarterly Sunday School overviews as requested.

Purpose:
- To support the overall vision of the Preschool Ministry by coordinating Birth thru Kindergarten LBS classes so that children and their families can grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus and the Bible.
- To help manage Sunday morning LBS teachers and to aid in all other ministry events.
- Equip Directors and Teachers so that they can focus on building relationships with the children and their parents.
- Promote and support First Friends team and community.
- Ensure a Godly, safe, and effective environment for our ministry.
Skills Requirements:
- Requires strong leadership and management abilities.
- Able to use and navigate thru MAC and Microsoft applications, scheduling application, various reporting applications, etc.
- Requires the ability to listen effectively and to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form.
- Requires initiative and motivation to always go above and beyond.
- Requires an understanding of the special needs and learning styles of children and an apparent love for them.
- Requires commitment to biblical Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.
