The Supervisor, Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) is responsible for monitoring and assessing eligibility for refugees, asylees, and others eligible for refugee services for RCA payments. The Supervisor, RCA oversees the RCA Case Managers, File Clerks, and other staff working in the RCA program. The successful candidate will display strong leadership skills and be detail-oriented.

 


The Expertise We're Looking For

 


  • Associate Degree; or

  • Two (2) years of experience in lieu of educatio

  • Two (2) years of experience in a social service setting or similar setting One (1) year of experience in a leadership role

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

  • You must have knowledge of leadership principles and best practices.

  • You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to influence others.

  • You must have the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.

  • You must have the ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

  • You may have nonprofit experience, preferred, but not required.

  • You must have experience with applicable software e.g. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).

 


What you Deliver

 


  • You must monitor and assess eligibility for refugees, asylees, and others eligible for refugee services for RCA payments. Collect appropriate income information to determine client eligibility as appropriate.

  • You will refer clients to employment program within 24 hours of enrollment in RCA program. Ensure files are maintained for all enrolled clients.

  • You will track client input in Client Track and Refugee Management Solutions (RMS).

  • You must prepare the materials needed to monitor compliance of RCA clients. Request compliance information from Job Developers on a monthly basis. Ensure that checks are disbursed to clients per program guidelines. Be familiar with RCA compliance guidelines.

  • You must provide transportation assistance and translation services for clients as needed.

  • You must maintain clients' files and assuring completeness and compliance with funding requirements. Entering all data to Client Track accurately and timely.

  • You must perform other duties assigned by the Program Manager, performing employment services functions: attending meetings with other service providers, participating in staff retreats, United Way tours, agency fairs and speaking engagements, assisting with special organizational projects/events, etc.
