JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lakewood Church has an exciting opportunity for a leadership role in our retail store! The Retail Sales Manager position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Lakewood Church store. This includes the planning, organizing, and managing of all store related sales and activities, store staff and daily operations. The focus of this position is to be an hands on leader that supports the sales team to provide an exceptional customer experience to our customers.

This position reports to the Assistant Controller. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for leading, scheduling, and coaching retail sales team
Actively engage customers to ensure first class customer service is provided and better understand customer needs
Lead store opening & closing procedures
Responsible for the overall store appearance and cleanliness
Guide the creation of attractive and enticing merchandise displays
Closely review product offering to ensure it aligns with the core mission and values of the church
Oversee ordering, design, and restocking of all Lakewood Product and store merchandise 
Ensure proper controls and handling of cash is adhered to at all times
Utilize Light Speed POS system to perform all necessary reporting and sales processing functions
Oversight of audio duplication process
Manage store operating budget on a monthly basis 
Oversee inventory cycle counts, understand and approve adjustments and follow through on returns
Review invoices for accuracy and approve for payment
Implement policies and procedures for the store as directed by Upper Management and assist in developing new policies and procedures as needed
Follow and execute safety and security routines to prevent loss and ensure employee/customer safety
Other duties as assigned

Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church
QUALIFICATIONS

Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Churchs vision, values and core beliefs
Proven ability to lead, train and develop associates by practicing a hands-on management style
Demonstrated ability to work well under stress and handle potential difficult situations with customers and associates
Understanding of retail operating principles, cashiering, budgeting, and inventory
Exceptional interpersonal, organization and communications skills
Ability to resolve problems by exercising independent, sound judgement within the application of established procedures and routines
Appropriate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish department goals
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to work well with internal and external customers and vendors
Proficient in Microsoft Office and MAC
Must be available to work on Sunday
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift up to 25 on a regular basis
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Some college preferred
Must have previous experience as manager or assistant manager
Minimum 2- 5 years of experience in retail sales managment
