Job Title: Summer Camp Office Assistant

Reports To: Summer Camp Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Office Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Summer Camp Director and Camp Dean and ensuring the smooth operation of the camp office. In addition to clerical work, the Office Assistant will also have the opportunity to interact and engage with campers, who are between the ages of 5 and 13.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and data entry
  • Be able to process tuition payments
  • Distribute camp t-shirts
  • Answer phone calls and emails
  • Be knowledgeable about all camp aspects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of camper registration and attendance
  • Assists with the preparation of camp materials and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment
  • Engage with campers and assist with camp activities as needed
  • Will coordinate with other camp administrators daily, regarding camp status
  • Will assist during Thursday field trips at any capacity

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous administrative or office experience is preferred but not required
  • Must have working experience with children, required, no exceptions
  • Professional or nonprofessional experience is acceptable
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
