Supervisor - Childcare Worker

Kidslife - Children's Ministry

Exempt

Rate: Up to $42,000 salary - Dependent on Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Kidslife Childcare Supervisor has a passion for working with children as they learn about the Bible and growing a faith relationship.The Supervisor is responsible for managing all of the Kidslife part-time staff as they lead classroom activities during regular service times and during weekly events at the church.

This position reports to the Early Childhood Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the regular management of the Childcare-worker staff as they lead the classroom of elementary aged children as they explore their Bible learning
Oversee training for Kidslife part-time staff to ensure effective ministry to children
Create and manage work schedules inclusive of: checking time clock submissions, and ensure proper coverage for all events
Inform staff of schedule changes, including additions to the team, services changes, and absences
Ensure effective and productive relationships between part time staff and volunteer team members
Manage and monitor employee performance, attendance, and implement disciplinary actions as needed
Collaborate with other ministries to schedule, plan, and implement special events childcare requests, within church guidelines
Understand and apply child safety policies and procedures
Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment and on-boarding of new employees to maintain necessary staffing levels
Be available to work as scheduled - will include certain nights and weekends
Attend trainings as required
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Some college or college degree preferred
Previous supervisory experience required
Previous experience working in a child ministry experience preferred
