Grace Community Church Boca will hold services for the family during Easter. Per the post from Eventbrite, the event is scheduled for Sunday, Apr. 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The church's Easter Sunday will have three services: the front lawn service at 7:30 a.m., the sanctuary service at 9 a.m., and the worship center service at 10:30 a.m.

It will reportedly take place at Grace Community Church, 600 West Camino Real Boca Raton, FL.

Easter Sunday

During Easter, the participants will learn about the life, ministry, and sacrifice of the Savior, the resurrection of Christ, and what it all means for the people.

As mentioned, the church will have services appropriate for the entire family, complete with an Easter cross, opportunities for family photos, uplifting music, and a word from Ptr. Jason.

At every service, there is a provision for children's care.

Since seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, participants should arrive early to ensure they get a seat.

In addition, the participants are reminded to bring flowers to embellish the cross that will be used for Easter.

Easter Sunday

According to the New Testament of the Christian Bible, Easter Sunday is the day Christians commemorate Jesus Christ's resurrection. As a result, many Christians observe this day as a holiday.

Based on the Gospel of John in the New Testament, Mary Magdalene visited the tomb where Jesus had been laid to rest and discovered that it was empty. She was reportedly informed of Jesus' resurrection by an angel.

Easter has been celebrated for millennia throughout the world by Christians.

On the other hand, the customs and activities associated with the Easter holiday can be traced back to pagan celebrations.

It is claimed that Eostara, the goddess of rebirth, is where the term Easter came from. In ancient times, celebrating the earth's resurrection and rebirth was known as the Feast of Eostara.

In the past, strict Puritans would not celebrate Easter since they believed it to be a human-created holiday with no religious significance.

In 1647, King Charles I of England declared that the day was just as spiritually significant as Sunday.

Nevertheless, parliament disputed him in writing and ultimately abolished it with other church holidays.

Easter dates are determined by how close the church gets to the day of the March equinox.

In 325 CE, the council of Nicaea decided that Easter would be the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the equinox in March.

As reported, Easter is postponed by one week if the full moon occurs on Sunday. This decreases the possibility that Easter and the Jewish holiday of Passover will fall on the same day.
