Eagle Brook Church held its first services in its new campus in the Apple Valley at 14960 Florence Trail on Dec. 17 and 18.

Redevelopment Project of Eagle Brook Church in Apple Valley

In October 2021, the City Council approved the renovation project that will involve the church. The previously occupied Menards store had a total area of 160,796 square feet, a surface parking lot with 453 spaces, and a 3.8-acre outside lumberyard.

As part of the project, all parking spaces other than 42 were eliminated, along with 102,657 square feet of the original building's east wing, the lumber yard, and the fencing surrounding it, Sun This Week reported

Aside from that, the church currently occupies all 58,139 square feet of the existing edifice after renovations were completed. The south parking lot was redesigned to provide 219 spaces, and an additional 186 and 180 spaces were added to the east and north sides of the building, respectively.

Ryan Widdel, Eagle Brook Church campus pastor, said that Eagle Brook Church has long cherished the idea of establishing a permanent presence in the south metro area. With the opening of the new facility in Apple Valley, that long-held goal has finally been accomplished.

He also mentioned that the Eagle Brook Church campus community has been gathering in the auditorium of Lakeville South High School for the past three and a half years, all the while praying about and looking forward to the possibility of relocating to a permanent location.

Widdel mentioned that the Apple Valley facility would hold services every Saturday at 4 p.m. and every Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

There is a children's service throughout each and every service. Students in sixth through twelfth grade are welcome to participate in student ministries services and small groups that are held on Wednesday evenings.

“Eagle Brook’s 11th location is currently in the process of renovation and will open in downtown Minneapolis in 2023,” revealed Widdel, as they anticipate the new facility, as quoted in the report.

About Eagle Brook Church

The First Baptist Church in White Bear was renamed the Eagle Brook Church in 1995, marking the beginning of Eagle Brook Church's history.

According to the church’s history, scripture references to the eagle and the brook can be found in Isaiah 40:31 and Psalm 42:1, respectively. They also make reference to the Bald Eagle Lake that is close by as well as the little brook that runs along the property lines of the White Bear Lake location.

The expansion of Eagle Brook into five additional locations around the Twin Cities demonstrates the company's continued growth. By the end of 2019, the church has an average weekend attendance across all venues of 22,000 people and a number of people attending online of 13,000.

These fundamental beliefs of Eagle Brook Church can be broken down into three broad categories: beliefs about God; beliefs about people; and beliefs about the Church, the Bible, and the return of Christ.

Eagle Brook's mission is to help children, youth, and adults grow into disciples of Jesus Christ by teaching them to know God, spend time in worship, fellowship with one another, serve others, and practice a life of generosity.
