Members of the Catholic Services Appeal Foundation (CSAF) based in St. Paul, Minn., took some time in prayer to consider how CSAF's legacy can guide its future actions.
The Catholic Spirit said in a report that the sacrament of confession, lectio divina, and questions to direct the process were all part of the preparation process.
Call for Cooperation
According to Tizoc Rosales, CSAF president, churches will announce the appeal on the weekends of Feb. 18–19 and Feb. 25–26. The following weekend is what Rosales refers to as "commitment weekend."
Additionally, CSAF has started mailing donors direct mail. Parishioners will be given donation instructions in the video featuring Archbp. Bernard Hebda. Rosales anticipates the parish staff's participation in the gift-gathering efforts.
Additionally, they must keep the parishioners informed about the CSAF's initiatives to spread their generosity in various ministries throughout the year, according to The Catholic Spirit post.
Lisa Gott, a parishioner at St. Michael in Stillwater, hopes that pastors will publish all the pertinent information so that people are reminded that the CSAF's work is for everyone's benefit.
Gott, a longtime member of the CSAF, thinks that doing this will remind everyone that cooperating may have a significant positive impact on the community.
It serves as a reminder to all parishioners that the endeavor is significant and that funding is an essential component, according to Karen Rauenhorst, a member of the CSAF board. Meeting our local Church's needs entails concentrating on more particular issues.
CSAF's First President
Rosales was chosen to serve as the first president of the CSAF in 2021.
After working as the Senior Advancement Officer at Saint Paul Seminary and St. John Vianney College Seminary, Rosales joined the CSAF. In the CSAF, Rosales began serving in October 2021.
He oversees the organization's annual appeal and works closely with the parishes, ministry leaders, and donors to further the organization's goal of spreading God's love throughout the neighborhood.
Rosales' appointment followed a long search led by Williams Executive Search Firm. He was appointed under the judgment of a search committee composed of a wide range of regional Catholic authorities.
Rosales' capacity to interact with other Christians will benefit a local church, according to Yen Fasano, the CSAF Board of Directors chairperson. His dedication to serving the CSAF and its strategic expansion is evident, as is his mission-based leadership.
About Catholic Services Appeal Foundation
The sole objectives of the Catholic Services Appeal Foundation are religious, charitable, and educational. It is an independent, nonprofit foundation that is free from income taxation.
Through ministries that help the poor, uphold life, and bolster the faith, CSAF collaborates with other Catholics to spread Christ's love to their needy neighbors.
The CSAF conducts an annual appeal in collaboration with each parish in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis to raise money for several designated ministries throughout the archdiocese.
On behalf of the parishes, the CSAF organizes and manages the appeal. Besides accepting and distributing gifts from parishioners to and for the benefit of the designated ministries, it also offers them the necessary resources and services.
