Teen Reach will hold a free luncheon for pastors, church leaders, and RFKC leaders on Thursday, April 13, at Grace Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

According to a post, the organization aims to make a difference for foster youth in the community.

Pastor/Leadership Luncheon in Eden Prairie

The Pastor/Leadership luncheon aims to inform the religious community and RFKC leaders/volunteers about the positive impact of camps and mentorship programs on local foster youth.

According to Eventbrite, to reach out to youth in foster care, Teen Reach has been collaborating with and training churches to run Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) since 2001.

Teens participating in T.R.A.C. programs get to spend outdoors, feel God's unconditional love, and gain a sense of purpose and optimism. Teen Reach revealed that many youths in foster care don't have a chance to have a happy future.

Approximately 150,000 youths between 12 and 18 are in the government's care. When they become adults, many young people end up on the streets, pregnant, or in prison.

T.R.A.C. Life Mentoring

The T.R.A.C. Life Mentoring Program is another option for teens seeking meaningful partnerships. As Teen Reach Adventure Camp concludes, a mentorship program called T.R.A.C. Life begins.

Unlike many mentoring programs, the match at camp is made with a mentor who volunteers their time.

At-risk youth can build on this solid foundation thanks to this strong connection.

Those interested in joining the luncheon can reserve a spot on the link provided.

History of Eden Prairie Church

Grace Church members and attendees have been "bringing faith to life" for over 80 years. Due to God's grace, a small group of people studying the Bible in their homes in 1928 has blossomed into a multi-thousand-member congregation.

When Grace Church started, they spent only $800 to buy two lots at 55th and France in Edina. According to the church's history, the area was known as France Avenue Mission. The first pastor of the church was Frank Shortridge.

On Aug. 18, 2002, after years of prayer, planning, and construction, the doors to the brand-new church building opened for the first time.

The 350,000-square-foot building featured a worship center with seating for 4,200 people. Situated on 62 acres of Eden Prairie's undulating prairie land, it is only 11 miles from the old location in Edina.
