The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre has recently announced new clergy personnel assignments for April.
As reported, Bishop John Barres made the official appointments and assignments for the Diocesan Catholic priests. He is the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre.
Official Pastorate Appointments
According to the Diocese's website, Rev. Johnny Mendonca has been appointed as a new pastor. He will serve the Parish of St. Christopher in Baldwin.
Rev. Gregory Rannazzisi will be the new pastor of the Parish of Infant Jesus in Port Jefferson. He will fulfill his duties while remaining as the head of the Parish of St. Gerard Majella.
Moreover, Rev. Anthony Stanganelli will be the new pastor of the Parish of St. Thomas the Apostle. He is currently dedicating his service as the pastor of the Parish of St. Brigid in Westbury.
Accordingly, the bishop has also appointed Rev. John Sureau as the new pastor of the Parish of St. Brigid. He currently serves as the pastor of the Parish St. John the Evangelist in Center Moriches.
The Diocese also announced the appointment of Rev. Patrick Riegger. He will be installed as the new pastor of the Center Moriches-based Parish of St. John the Evangelist.
In addition, the Parish of Our Lady of Hope in Carle Place will welcome Rev. Kevin Dillon. He will reportedly be the said church's new pastor, leaving his duties at the Parish of St. Boniface Martyr.
Wrapping up the list of pastoral appointees is the Very Rev. Josef Norys from the St. Patrick Parish. He has been appointed as the new pastor of the Parish of St. Boniface Martyr.
Other Clergy Assignments
As per the website, the Rockville Centre bishop also extended the pastoral duties of six Diocese pastors. The six clergies will be reportedly serving their second term as pastors in their respective parishes.
Rev. Malcolm Burns will reportedly remain as the pastor of the Parish of Corpus Christi in Mineola. Rev. Monsignor Francis Cladwell will still serve as the pastor of the Parish of Curé of Arts in Merrick.
Furthermore, Rev. Gonzalo Oejaca-Lopez will also reportedly serve his second term at the Parish of the Resurrection. The pastoral duty of Rev. Irinel Racos at the Parish of St. Elizabeth of Hungary has also been extended.
Rev. Monsignor Christopher Heller will be serving his second term at the Parish of St. Louis de Montfort.
Meanwhile, Rev. Monsignor Francis Schneider will remain pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish. He will serve concurrently as the pastor of the
Shoreham-based Parish of St. Mark.
The Diocese has chosen a new parish administrator for the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish. Rev. Charlince Vendredy will reportedly cater to the needs of the church parishioners.
