Christians around the world celebrated Ash Wednesday on Mar. 2, marking the start of this year's Lenten season.
Thus, the Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) has announced that it will provide lessons this Lenten season. The group is the migration ministry of The Episcopal Church.
Lenten Curriculum For Teens And Young Adults
As per its website, EMM has crafted a Lenten curriculum for teens and young adults. It is a joint program with the Episcopal Asylum & Detention Ministry Network Education Subgroup.
As reported, the curriculum will be offered to teens and young adults through six sessions. Each session will reportedly run for one hour.
The work of the Episcopal migration ministry serves as the framework for the said lectures. The sessions are also based on the efforts and initiatives of the ministry.
Aside from that, EMM will reportedly provide the lessons to participants every week.
In each lesson, the ministry will highlight Biblical passages from the Year C Lectionary for Lent.

Empowering Participants to Reimagine

The Episcopal ministry has called teens and young adults "curious" about the lesson.
Apart from that, EMM also encouraged participants to "be present" in every one-hour session.
The website reiterated that the Lenten curriculum is also an invitation to "reimagine."
"It is our hope that this series will lead to action and reimagining for participants," the ministry stated.
In addition, the Episcopal ministry pointed out that this season is an invitation to walk together. It can be recalled that the EMM and the Episcopal Asylum Ministry Network also partnered in 2021.
Last year, the two ministries also assisted Episcopalians in strengthening their Lenten devotions.
Through the Episcopal ministries, the faithful received daily written reflections. This reportedly ran from Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, until Easter Sunday, Apr. 4, 2021.
