About New Dorp Baptist Church
The New Dorp Baptist Church reportedly aims to participate alongside God in remaking the world with Jesus Christ.
The church's mission has a scriptural basis, which can be found in the book of Revelation in the New Testament.
In the passage, Jesus appears enthroned with God the Father in the new heaven and earth. He proclaims that He has come to dwell eternally with His people and finish the renewal work.
They believe that the energizing work of renewal is a present reality carried out by Jesus Christ through the people whose Spirit has indwelled.
Those people have been reportedly tasked with bearing witness to the gospel of His grace. Thus, providing the world with a glimpse of the kingdom yet to come.
Moreover, the church believes God has commanded them to get together regularly to share affection and gratitude for all He has done and is continuing to do among His people.
In addition, they get together so that they might love one another, build each other up, and become stronger through the joint use of God's gifts to all His followers.
The church is confident that every genuine Christian will, using the means God has so graciously provided, continue to conform to the image of Jesus Christ and obey his commands.
Making disciples is what is meant by the term "making disciples" in the Bible.
As reported, God has provided the church with the ability to be His tools in bringing about genuine transformation in the lives of those who follow Him.
Furthermore, the church believes that it is God's will for all people on earth to behold the splendor and beauty that He possesses.
Therefore, if we want to join God in the rebirth of all things through Jesus Christ, people need to go out into the world and share the good news of salvation and the forgiveness of sin with other people.
As reported, the costly vocation requires a life of sacrifice. Thus, this requires giving up joys in exchange for benefits in the hereafter.
