Participants will reportedly gather at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 68-10 31st Avenue in Queens, New York.
Men's Workshop
According to a press release, the event is tagged as "Christ Tabernacle Men's Rite of Passage Workshop." It reportedly aims to help the attendees learn what it means to be a man.
The organization also strives to assist them in defining what a man should be. It reportedly seeks to encourage them to utilize their experiences in assisting other people.
Accordingly, it called on all men to take part in the two-day rite of passage workshop. The Christ Tabernacle Christian Fellowship asserted that the "men's movement starts with you."
The event will reportedly feature faith leaders Pastor Paul Agard and Bro. Joshua Benjamin. The organization bared that they will serve as the facilitators throughout the workshop.
Moreover, Minister Rodrick Ruffin will be the host of the two-day event. He is from the Christ Tabernacle Christian Fellowship.
The faith-based group also revealed that the workshop will be available for free to all interested men. In addition, the organization will reportedly offer refreshments upon arrival and for each session.
Event to Feature Three Sessions
As per the press release, participants will have a chance to join three sessions during the workshop. The group will conduct one session on Friday, while the remaining sessions will be on the last day.
The first session will reportedly ask the participants to share their understanding of a man. They will try to create their interpretation of a "real man" through a memorable method.
Meanwhile, the last day will begin with the second session titled, " Man Up! A Case Study." The participating men will reportedly watch clips of a movie showing the struggles of a man.
Through these clips, they will examine the decisions, behavior, and attitude of the main character. They will attempt to point out where the character went wrong.
Furthermore, participants will also tackle the causes and the consequences of the character's actions.
In addition, the third session will center on the importance of having good counsel in a "real man's" life.
"These are Godly brothers who act as a support system," the announcement read. "[They] are now equipped [to] give our next generation of young men the rite of passage to manhood."
